Fiber Fest & Spin-in

Friday March 12, 2010 at the 4_H Building located in the Jay County Fair Grounds.

Event runs from 9AM – 7PM

From 9AM – 3PM – Educational Day/Petting Zoo  – Admin charge of $1.00

Demonstrations, Classes, Sheep shearing and Food

4PM – 7PM is the benefit soup supper. Public welcome and no admin change during this time.

The Jay County Health Fair is open the public

Charges for testing do apply, but the Health Fair offers significantly discounted pricing for these services. Many booths offer free information and evaluations.
The previous Jay County Health Fairs have proven to be the best health care bargain available.

Our congressman is Mike Pence, a native Hoosier born in Columbus, Indiana.

Museum of the Soldier

The Museum of the Soldier Inc., is located at 510 East Arch Street, Portland Indiana.

The Museum of the Soldier (MOS) is one of Jay County’s unique attractions and one that must be vistied to fully understand the vast history of finely preserved military artifacts on display. Many of these items are from private collections from the Museum’s curators and of donations made by local residents.
Every branch of the United States Military is represented at the museum with many of the items dating back before the Civil War. Items from all the major conflicts are also on display from World War I, World War II, Vietnam, Korea, and others.
