Hunting season opens on Nov 6, 2009 for Rabbit, Quail and Pheasant.

Daily limits are
Pheasant – 2 (cocks) per day
Quail – North of St. Rd 26 – 5 per day
Quail – South of St. Rd 26 – 8 per day
Note: St. Rd 26 runs through the heart of Jay County.
Rabbit – 5 per day

Each season has a different ending date so check the DNR Regulations for details.

Deer check in station is the Portland Fire Department. Check in times do apply so check times before traveling.
Make sure to check all DNR hunting regulations prior to taking part in a hunt
