The Jay County Patriots begin the 2009 season with a bang

This is Lea Selvey’s 21st year as Head Coach of the Jay County Patriots and it appears to be another exciting season. The Patriots have not only won their first two regular season games, they have dominated with a 11-1 victory over Northeastern and a 12-2 win over the Winchester Golden Falcons.
As reported in the Commercial Review, Coach Selvey is taking advantage of the quickness of this years team, by aggressively running the base paths. This type of play adds a level of excitement that is not present with some of the power hitting teams of the past. Base stealing, hit and runs, great defensive play as well as power hitting is in store for fans coming out to support Patriot Baseball this season.
