Indiana House – Were did the Democrats go?

Posted on 13 March 2011 by Jerry Hartzell

It appears that the Indiana Democrats have left the state of Indiana.

They are in Urbana Illinois!

Why?
My guess is that the Illinois economy needs Indiana money spent on hotel rooms and restaurants.
Now seriously, if I were to boycott my job I would be fired in just a short couple of days. Not only are the Democrats not working but they are also forcing all the Republicans from working as well, because votes cannot happen without a Quorum.
Democrats it is time to come back and get to work!! Stop wasting Indiana Tax Dollars!
Check out this video.

Indiana Property Tax Caps Pass House

Posted on 03 December 2010 by Jerry Hartzell

Jay County’s Bill Davis (R-Portland) released the following statement in response to the passage of HJR1, the constitutional amendment to permanently cap property taxes in Indiana. The measure passed the House by a vote of 75 to 23.

“Today Hoosier taxpayers who are looking for reassurance that future property tax bills will not dramatically increase to extreme levels are one step close to having that security. The ball, so to speak, is now in the Senate’s court, and I look for them to act quickly in passing this important measure. Hoosiers have said they want the opportunity to voice their opinion on this issue, and it looks like they will get their chance by means of the November general election ballot.”
